About THE PROBLEM WITH FOREVER:

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout comes a riveting new story about friendship, survival, and finding your voice.

For some people, silence is a weapon.

For Mallory “Mouse” Dodge, it’s a shield.

Growing up, she learned that the best way to survive was to say nothing. And even though it’s been four years since her nightmare ended, she’s beginning to worry that the fear that holds her back will last a lifetime.

Now, after years of homeschooling with loving adoptive parents, Mallory must face a new milestone—spending her senior year at public high school. But of all the terrifying and exhilarating scenarios she’s imagined, there’s one she never dreamed of—that she’d run into Rider Stark, the friend and protector she hasn’t seen since childhood, on her very first day.

It doesn’t take long for Mallory to realize that the connection she shared with Rider never really faded. Yet the deeper their bond grows, the more it becomes apparent that she’s not the only one grappling with lingering scars from the past. And as she watches Rider’s life spiral out of control, Mallory must make a choice between staying silent and speaking out—for the people she loves, the life she wants, and the truths that need to be heard.

Best Books of 2015

Here is a few books that stood out as some of the best of the best of 2016.

Freakshow by Jaden Wilkes
An Urban Fantasy standalone about a girl who can't feel pain, running away to join the Freakshow. Beautiful ballsy story with so much heart and something completely different than anything I've ever read. I will NEVER forget these characters.

Soulless (NA Dystopian)  by Jacinta Maree
Jacinta has a way of making you fall hopelessly in love with a lost cause. Her world building is incredibly dark and gritty. What if humans were imprinted by every past life, what if every soul we've ever been is trapped in your head, slowly driving you mad? What happens when one girl is born with out any soul imprint? Welcome to Soulless.

The Fall Up by Aly Martinez

Love her style so much but this one is my favourite. So much heart and you will root for these to right down to your toes.

Lev by Belle Aurora
Truly unique story that I completely fell in love with. I will re read this one, a lot.

King & Tyrant by TM Frazier
Loved both of these so much. King & Doe & Preppy & Bear, all brilliant characters I will never forget. It's dark & sweet, TM Frazier specialty.

Gypsy Brothers Series by Lili St. Germain
Brutal and probably the darkest series I've ever read.

Never Never Serial by Colleen Hoover & Tarryn Fisher
You will go crazy getting swept up into this race against time. But warning each one is a hell of a cliffhanger and the third book isn't live... Yet.

Love Hate Relationship by Jessica Prince
A standalone in a companion series. It's by fave because of the sassy arguing, but honestly the whole Colors Series is full of feels, laughs and beautiful characters.

Fragile Fall by Kristy Love
The whole series (companion) is amazing but this one broke me. Huge ugly cry.

Outside the box...
The Garden: Gildemer by AS Oren

YA Fantasy story about a  Cat/Human hybrid girl's life as a servant to royalty in a world where servants are forbidden to learn to read. Sound bizarre? I thought so too but ten pages in and I was hooked.

Hope you all read some amazing books, I'm excited to see what 2016 will bring!

REVIEW: Echo Among Stars by Joanna S. Morris

REVIEW: Echo Among Stars by Joanna S. Morris
#YA #Dystopia #Review #NewRelease

BLURB:
Would you risk everything you thought you knew about yourself if it meant saving everyone you love?

In this thrilling debut novel, sixteen-year-old Eden Huntleigh and her family live within the district of Empyrean. Under the rule of The Renegades, and their tyrant leader Cesar, every aspect of life is controlled. Streets are patrolled by humanoid Enforcers. Necessities are rationed. Disobedience is not tolerated.

When Eden receives an omen, and joins a group of Rebels led by the alluring Leo Dillon, her life begins to unravel.

Just as the Rebels are beginning to understand what they are capable of Cesar has kidnapped their families forcing them to strike before they are ready. Once inside the Empyrean palace they discover the horror of what they are truly facing. Does Eden have what it takes to be the legend she was destined to be? Ready or not she's about to find out..

REVIEW:
I am a huge fan of Young Adult Dystopian books so obviously I really liked Echo Among Stars.

Eden was such a kick butt strong kind of girl which we really don't see enough of outside this genre. She is living in this insanely dangerous world and we are running along side her in this crazy adventure.

The world Joanna S. Morris has created is incredible, I felt like I was there. She painted a pretty bleak and dangerous view of the world.

It being a series I already knew going in that there would be a crazy cliffhanger at the end of this book but it still hurt a little LOL

I'm looking forward to seeing where the story takes Eden and the gang next. I think this book has set up an amazing story and I and excited to read more!

Penryn & the End of Days by Susan Ee

Book One: Angelfall
This book I was obsessed with the moment I saw it in the book store. The cover art was so gorgeous and... Well... I have a weakness for YA stories about angels and girls who can kick some serious butt!

Penryn is definitely one of those girls. She is highly trained in ass kickery and can handle herself against three dudes it's seriously impressive! She is living in this post apocalypse world where angels are creating hell on earth. She is trying to survive and protect herself and her wheelchair ridden little sister and a schizophrenic mother off her meds. She is bat shit crazy and in the most deranged... Funny but also really unbalanced way LOL.

Enter Raffe (sorry Susan Ee I pronounce it RayF not RahFee, I tried it your way, my brain just refused to change) ok so Raffe is Raphael, Wrath of God ect ect... Oh holy angel. But with out giving spoilers these two crazy people cross paths and end up on the adventure of the end of days. It's a crazy ride with laughs and plenty of WTF moments. I was lucky and excited to get my hands on book one AND two right after one another...

Book Two: World After
Wow...
I mean... The sheer brutality in this book is insane. I kept shaking my head like DAMN... That image is gonna stick with me forever LOL.

Penryn Young... I mean have we seen a more kick ass chick of YA before? Seriously she throws down in hand to hand combat with straight up angel warriors armed only with a raking steak knife! It's so freaking awesome.

Raffe... I thought he was bad ass in book one all wingless and still kicking butt but his brand new demon wings are even better. I love  these two and their ability to cause absolute chaos LOL.

Honorary mentions go to the bat shit crazy mom & the conundrum that is Paige young. I mean seriously Raffes quote was spot on, “The unruliness of the women in your family must go back for generations. You’re like a plague upon the land.” LOL these ladies know how to survive a feeling apocalypse!

And of course Pooky Bear! Brave and noble Pooky Bear who turned Penryn into an even more impressive bad ass!

I'm dying to read book three (2014!!!!), four and yes you heard right FIVE books in this series! Woot woot!
