Little Dove by Jaden "Evil Genius" Wilkes

First and foremost y'all need to read book one (The Beast) and two (Perfectly Normal). All three books in the series are quite different. Expect all to have action, violence, sex and extremely dark subject matter... This is NOT a happy to lucky love story... Wicked people doing wicked deeds and it's littered with triggers like human trafficking and ALL that that entails, some will not be able to handle this book or series. 
I on the other hand love dark and twisted books and thought Little Dove was breath taking!

Giving ZERO SPOILERS makes explaining a third book difficult but the journey and the horrors that go on in this book will break your heart and make you appreciate the life you live and the freedoms it allows. There is something about characters having to earn their happily ever after that has always appealed to me, nothing comes easy for these people and if you fancy something dark THIS is for you!

A quick character recap...
Dimitri - an huge powerful alpha, ex Russian Enforcer, reclusive, sexy billionaire.
Columbia - a poor, long time abuse victim, with a heart of gold and a stubborn streak a mile long.
"The Concierge" - Dimitri's go to man, his name is a secret you have to earn by reading book two  he is loyal, strong, and did I mention sexy as sweet eff! I know he's technically a secondary character but he is my primary lust target... Especially in book two. 
Ioana & Boian - two new characters introduced in the Epilogue of Perfectly Normal through twisted fate end up in the world of Dimitri & Columbia. It feels like the universe is conspiring to keep these two apart, it will break your heart.

So when this book opens they are living a HEA-ish existence but decide to set out on a mission and chaos ensues and the results are nothing you'd expect or imagine. Sorry... being book three not much else I can divulge aside from telling you it's epic levels of crazy shit going on in this book!

I have a mandatory 'cooling off' period after finishing a book, because when I finish a book I'm like a hopped up Cheerleader claiming "THIS IS THE GREATEST CREATION IN THE HISTORY OF THE  WORLD." but even after I slept on this book for two nights I am still smiling, there is still part of me is living in that world, and THAT is an awesome thing for a book geek like me.

Let's get to the point, Jaden Wilkes is a bad ass. The first book of hers I read was The Therapist, which is full of "WTF just happened! WTF did I just read!" moments so I will admit I was a wee bit scared to read this series but I like a challenge and I especially like twisted dark stories where there is little possibility of a happy ending so I pulled on my big girl panties and jumped in.

I loved the first book in the series The Beast with all it's dark and twisty bits and Perfectly Normal was such a great continuation of these three characters I love. It's a serious contender to knock Dark Duet  out as my favourite dark romance. 

Perfectly Normal is filthy, painful. Sexy and sweet. It will make you laugh, cry and scare the crap out of you and then turn you on. It is not a fluffy romance, it's broken people doing broken things. 

Columbia became this force of nature, like a little mini Dimi LOL fiercely loyal. I heard a whisper about a third book called "Little Dove" but don't hold me to that!

Dimitri was oh so sexy... Like shiver just thinking about him sexy. 

And the Concierge... he is my favourite... sigh.

Now don't get me wrong I LOVE Dimi he is a man in full but he's taken... Now the Concierge... I think I could show him a good time. We get to know him better and find out his name in this book!

I loved the way these three interacted with each other, it was funny seeing these two giant fierce men take care of her and her take care of them.

Dirty Series by Cheryl McIntyre

Serials... They are the new series. Less wait time between books, more action & smaller page count. I am seriously in love with them. 

Dirty is no exception it's gritty, violent, sad & heart warming. 

This story was amazing. It hooked me right away...

“Eighteen. That’s how many times I was stabbed with a flaying knife. I remember eight.

Five. That’s how many surgeries it took to repair all the damage. The damage caused to my body. Not my mind. Not my heart. There’s no repairing those.

Ten. The number of months I spent in the hospital.

I loved these two broken souls. 

Linken was so strong and had such an amazing heart. His love was pure and so honest. Life just completely gutted him. Bent on revenge and blind to everything else. 

Rocky was bad ass on the surface, tainted by the ass kicking life served her. Barely existing in a fog of false bravado & booze. 

They met they click and I can't say much more without spoiling. A friend said, "It's like dark chocolate, you just want to savor it so it lasts forever." She was so right! I just wanted it to go on forever. I loved these two.  I wanted to curl up with them for winter. It was sad but not in an ugly obvious way. It was quiet and heart wrenching and I didn't know I was crying until the tears hit the screen.

Only problem with serials is sometimes it can take a month between each one... And at only 70 page a book. After I finished each book in the series, I was all like... There's more? Where is it? I will cut a bitch!

“What if I want to stay?”

Her dark eyes meet mine, searching. She clears her throat, taking several seconds to respond. “Then stay.”

GAH! So beautifully written by the lovely Cheryl McIntyre. Who I didn't know much about until this series' cover art drew me in, but now she's on my radar... Watch out woman! She has written a ton of hot looking books, I'm lusting after many covers and I plan on reading as many as I can get my hands on.

I can't tell you enough how brilliant this is, a really beautiful but dark story of survival. Tough subjects for some but a strong storyline. FIVE stars without a doubt. You won't regret a moment spent with Link & Rocky ❤️

First off I have never met Jaden Wilkes (obviously) but my Canadian pride makes her my dear friend LOL. She & I both come from the best place ever. So that fact alone made me jump up and start waving my homegirl flag. 

OK... The Therapist... Holy mother f#cking mind f#ck. I mean it was crazy, cruel, dark & twisted. There was a lot going on in this book. It was a fun ride but not for the fain of heart.

I really loved this book... I'm not sure what that says about me LOL 

It's the darkest kind of smutty smutt smutt ever and you need to read it.

Wow... Crazy, unpredictable, dark & twisted. I loved it.

I just loved the dark feel and the words felt like poetry to me, it just flowed if that makes any sense LOL

Author Spotlight: Cassia Leo

Cassia Leo... I have been putting off spotlighting her only because I am trying to read everything she has ever written first. BUT the woman keeps writing amazing things I just can't keep up so I decided to just gush about what I have read so far.

Popped my Cassia Leo cherry with the amazing stand alone, Black Box. I personally freaking loved it and it launched me into full on FanGirl mode. I have a soft spot for dark stories and black box was certainly that. Some bad things go down in both these peoples lives but fate intervenes three times to save them. Reminding them that there are things in this life that are worth fighting for, worth living for even if you feel unworthy of the air you breathe. It hurt my heart but I LOVE a story that evokes that much emotion. She has some serious talent!

After devouring Black Box I was like a fat kid on a bender snatching up everything I could find. When I love a book I don't just think wow that was cool onto something else... Nope not this FanGirl... When I read a book I loved I then begin the social networking stalking. She is on Facebook and Twitter... Actually HER! I LOVE when I tweet how much I loved a book and the author gushes back how happy they are I love it. Makes me feel special & that to her I'm not just another person handing her money, I am a fan and she is a fan of fans. Makes me love her so much more :)

Claire & Chris & Adam love triangle/second chance romance. Sweet and endearing.

Shattered Hearts Series was next. It tells a story of second chance romance. It's a love triangle but one that you just don't know who you love more. Claire & Chris were in love once upon a time but she sacrificed that love so he could live his dreams. Fast forward six months and Claire is living with some very hard decisions she was forced to make. She meets Adam who is just awesome and perfect and sweet. So she begins to take steps to a new life. Cue the return of her first love!  Adam may be perfect but is he perfect for her? Epic love story with a few cries and DONT forget to read Abandon a companion novel about Tristan & Senia, so fricken good! 

Tristan & Senia's story. Kind of dark and sweet.

Crazy hot sex, bad ass mobster alpha. So damn sexy.

THEN... I came across Knox a serial that is still in progress (Parts 1&2 of 4 have been released)... So effing sexy! Just filthy and hot and dangerous. It tells the tale of Rebecca, the daughter of a mob boss who has disowned her family. And Knox a brutal sexy as eff mobster. They have a history and can't keep their hands off each other. Seriously it's delicious book porn! You cannot imagine my excitement when Miss Cassia Leo sent me book two for free to read & review... I was squealing and it pretty much solidified my FanGirl status. I am shouting from the rooftops for everyone to check her out. Can you say 1-Click?

Haven't read this yet but it is definitely a panty dropper... AND book one is FREE on Amazon!

Luke will be the next series I devour. Looks like a panty dropper. And is also FREE on amazon!

I haven't read her paranormal series Parallel Spirits but I will as soon as I can get my hands on it!

She has a wonderful way of telling a story and pulling you in, making you care about these characters. There are a lot of writers who have ONE style, NOT Cassia Leo, her books all have a different feel to them. Some are dark and violent and others are sweet and endearing, and others still are just panty droppingly hot. (Yes droppingly is a word... Cuz I say so that's why!)

So to sum it up you'd be a fool to NOT read her work. There is something for everyone. You won't be disappointed. She has some crazy deals on Amazon & if you love her sign up for her news letter cuz she sometimes sends us something special.

Penryn & the End of Days by Susan Ee

Book One: Angelfall
This book I was obsessed with the moment I saw it in the book store. The cover art was so gorgeous and... Well... I have a weakness for YA stories about angels and girls who can kick some serious butt!

Penryn is definitely one of those girls. She is highly trained in ass kickery and can handle herself against three dudes it's seriously impressive! She is living in this post apocalypse world where angels are creating hell on earth. She is trying to survive and protect herself and her wheelchair ridden little sister and a schizophrenic mother off her meds. She is bat shit crazy and in the most deranged... Funny but also really unbalanced way LOL.

Enter Raffe (sorry Susan Ee I pronounce it RayF not RahFee, I tried it your way, my brain just refused to change) ok so Raffe is Raphael, Wrath of God ect ect... Oh holy angel. But with out giving spoilers these two crazy people cross paths and end up on the adventure of the end of days. It's a crazy ride with laughs and plenty of WTF moments. I was lucky and excited to get my hands on book one AND two right after one another...

Book Two: World After

Wow... 

I mean... The sheer brutality in this book is insane. I kept shaking my head like DAMN... That image is gonna stick with me forever LOL. 

Penryn Young... I mean have we seen a more kick ass chick of YA before? Seriously she throws down in hand to hand combat with straight up angel warriors armed only with a raking steak knife! It's so freaking awesome. 

Raffe... I thought he was bad ass in book one all wingless and still kicking butt but his brand new demon wings are even better. I love  these two and their ability to cause absolute chaos LOL. 

Honorary mentions go to the bat shit crazy mom & the conundrum that is Paige young. I mean seriously Raffes quote was spot on, “The unruliness of the women in your family must go back for generations. You’re like a plague upon the land.” LOL these ladies know how to survive a feeling apocalypse! 

And of course Pooky Bear! Brave and noble Pooky Bear who turned Penryn into an even more impressive bad ass!

I'm dying to read book three (2014!!!!), four and yes you heard right FIVE books in this series! Woot woot!
