Dirty Series by Cheryl McIntyre

Serials... They are the new series. Less wait time between books, more action & smaller page count. I am seriously in love with them.
Dirty is no exception it's gritty, violent, sad & heart warming.

This story was amazing. It hooked me right away...

Eighteen. That’s how many times I was stabbed with a flaying knife. I remember eight.
Five. That’s how many surgeries it took to repair all the damage. The damage caused to my body. Not my mind. Not my heart. There’s no repairing those.
Ten. The number of months I spent in the hospital.
Four. Months in rehab.
Fourteen hundred and sixty. That’s the number of days I shouldn’t have been living. If this is living. I feel dead inside.
This is what my life is now. A dead man, inside a scarred body, living only for revenge.”

I loved these two broken souls.

Linken was so strong and had such an amazing heart. His love was pure and so honest. Life just completely gutted him. Bent on revenge and blind to everything else.

Rocky was bad ass on the surface, tainted by the ass kicking life served her. Barely existing in a fog of false bravado & booze.

They met they click and I can't say much more without spoiling. A friend said, "It's like dark chocolate, you just want to savor it so it lasts forever." She was so right! I just wanted it to go on forever. I loved these two.  I wanted to curl up with them for winter. It was sad but not in an ugly obvious way. It was quiet and heart wrenching and I didn't know I was crying until the tears hit the screen.

Only problem with serials is sometimes it can take a month between each one... And at only 70 page a book. After I finished each book in the series, I was all like... There's more? Where is it? I will cut a bitch!

“What if I want to stay?”
Her dark eyes meet mine, searching. She clears her throat, taking several seconds to respond. “Then stay.”

GAH! So beautifully written by the lovely Cheryl McIntyre. Who I didn't know much about until this series' cover art drew me in, but now she's on my radar... Watch out woman! She has written a ton of hot looking books, I'm lusting after many covers and I plan on reading as many as I can get my hands on.

"Stalking Cheryl McIntyre" a DIY Guide:

I can't tell you enough how brilliant this is, a really beautiful but dark story of survival. Tough subjects for some but a strong storyline. FIVE stars without a doubt. You won't regret a moment spent with Link & Rocky ❤️

The Therapist by Jaden Wilkes

If you're looking for a Happily Ever After love story, keep walking. If you're looking for a dark & twisted mind f#ck of a book... Let me introduce you to my homegirl Jaden Wilkes and her new book Therapist.

"I am a sociopath.

I know this because I diagnosed myself.

I have a PhD in Clinical Psychology from a very prestigious university.

I am charming, attractive, and you probably want to sleep with me.

I take what I want, when I want, and I enjoy picking the most tragic of all my patients to experiment with.

I have no remorse, I am unrelenting in my pursuit of tragedy, and I am about to meet my match.

Her name is not important, I am only allowed to call her Mistress. She is a femme fatale, a patient, and now an obsession.

She will destroy me, I will do anything to get inside of her.

I can already feel her inside of me."

**Trigger warning. This novel is not a love story, but more of a journey through a few short days in the life of a madman. What you see is not always what you get, reality is altered through his eyes and sometimes there is no happily ever after.

First off I have never met Jaden Wilkes (obviously) but my Canadian pride makes her my dear friend LOL. She & I both come from the best place ever. So that fact alone made me jump up and start waving my homegirl flag.

OK... The Therapist... Holy mother f#cking mind f#ck. I mean it was crazy, cruel, dark & twisted. There was a lot going on in this book. It was a fun ride but not for the fain of heart.

I really loved this book... I'm not sure what that says about me LOL
It's the darkest kind of smutty smutt smutt ever and you need to read it.

For Canadian Readers:

For 'Merican Readers:

Want to stalk Jaden Wilkes? Well you've asked the right girl...

Sing (#7 Songs of Submission) by CD Reiss

I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Seriously, I am going to start by fangirling about CD Reiss for a moment.

Five Reasons why CD Reiss needs to be my BFF:
1. Jonathan Drazen, just the sound of his name makes me want to kneel and call him Sir.
2. She is wonderful to her fans, Facebook, Twitter ect. She's on it, saying hey and being awesome & shit.
3. She writes the sexiest books I have ever read. Seriously if u thought fifty Shades was sexy, think again, CD Reiss is the queen.
4. She showcases a sexy dominant ginger in her Songs of Submission series, which clearly makes her      a prime candidate for BFF status because, well, I LOVE me a ginger!
5. Her books make me laugh, gasp, cry and most importantly... Cross my legs tighter & feel awkward if I'm reading in public.

Sing was the perfect way to end this amazing series. Though I felt heartbroken for some of it, like she was trying to mess with the perfect ending I wanted in my head but of course she was right and it ended exactly as it should. I loved this series so much, Jonathan Drazen was so wounded in this book, it killed me to see him so weak. Monica's transformation from zombie to.. Well no spoilers there but she really became whole after falling to pieces. I loved the whole ride.

In conclusion, read it. Read it now. Well, I mean read the WHOLE series because it's fantastic, and filthy.

So if you're looking to loose yourself in a dirty book. Look no further.
If you hate smutty romance with alpha males & bondage....
Sorry we can't be friends :)

Down London Road by Samantha Young

It was sweet, sexy, funny and heartbreaking...

Cam was so incredibly sexy and sweet, kind and fiercely loyal and supportive in a completely unapologetic way.  Johanna broke my heart the pain she endured and the life she was desperate to live. i had a hard time with her constant 'I'm not worthy' inner monologue and the way she thought the only way for her to survive and support her brother was to find a sugar daddy... ugh. The relationship between Jo & her brother was so touching, the way she did everything to protect him from the childhood she suffered at the hands of their parents, she was fierce when Cole was in danger. The brutal confrontations were so thick with emotion I couldn't help but get swept up and cry! There were a few good twists and I loved how (like Joss from the first book) Jo came from nothing but built this amazing family to love and support her and finally let them help her!
“Some people are born with family, and others have to make family.”
The passion between Cam & Jo was HOT & the sexual tension in the beginning was... Intense!
I loved Joss, Braden & Ellie's reappearance too. All & all a great read.

Dark Duet Series by C.J. Roberts

Holy crap! I am so glad I decided to read the last book! This story was hard to read, it was dark and brutal and was not the kind of book I normally read but the relationship between these two people was something that started so hateful and brutal and grew into something so beautiful and loving. I cried my eyes out as she stepped out of the truck. I wanted them to have a happy ending so badly. I loved the way it ended, I felt like it in some strange dark way justified what they both had been put through. I am drawn to stories where the characters are stripped of everything that makes them human, all the love and security taken away and how they find the strength to get out, to find a way to find peace. To heal even if they can barely stand to look in the mirror. It was moving seeing the change in Caleb in book two. He was so much more broken than Livvie was. He had never had anything worth loving, his whole life was pain and revenge and hatred. Livvie opened up his heart and became everything to him, changed his heart & soul. It's was the strangest, darkest love story I had ever read but it will never be forgotten. Be warned it is brutal and painful to read at times, NOT for your average reader, be warned, human trafficking and the slave trade is a scary place to read about. But that aside I highly recommend reading BOTH books.

Possession Review

Possession by Elana Johnson

“He walked close enough to hold hands and far enough away that words could never repair the damage we'd done to each other.”
Elana Johnson,
Possession

I love the first scene of this book. It gets its hooks into you right from the start. Vi is arrested & thrown in prison for the unthinkable at least in the Goodlands...walking in the park, at night, with a boy.

Strangely they throw her in the same cell as Jag a boy from the Badlands, a place she has been told her whole life is full of terrible people. But they soon find out there is something special about them & why they are brought together.

Vi & Jag can control people by thoughts & voice and the leader of the Goodlands wants them to brainwash it's citizens in exchange for their release.

It's an action read & of course Vi & Jag fall for each other. Two crazy kids trying to change the world & find a way to just be happy in love. There are so many twists & turns, keeps you on the edge of your seat. I went into it thinking it was a stand alone novel and when I reached the end, I was horrified to read it would be continued, so I was left sad & wanting more. Which I guess is a good thing ;P

I really cant reveal anymore with out ruining it for you. It is another novel in the list of great Dystopian Fiction. I recommend it to anyone who liked the Uglies Series.

Rating 4/5 - Mind controlling fun!

Look for the sequel: Surrender coming out June 15, 2012.

Before I Fall Book Review

Premise: A girl dies in car accident & keeps waking up reliving that last day.

Mean Girls meets Groundhog Day.

I know to some people that sounds like a bad review but I happen to LIKE Mean Girls & Groundhog Day.

Honestly I hated the main character so much that I was looking forward to her demise! But I loves the Romance in it and although i could turn on any tv movie & see this being played out I have never read a book like this. I loved seeing her change & the few beautiful moments with Kent make it a great book and I would recommend it. Its definitely YA Fiction but sweet and raw and shows the twisted gong show that is High School. If only we al had 7 tries to make it all right.

Rating 3.5/5
